Mathematica Decorative Glass

Kensington Glass Arts (KGa) was selected by Davis Construction and Gensler to install the large, decorative glass piece at the Mathematica offices in Washington DC.  The colorful glass, fabricated by General Glass International, features a pattern that spells “Mathematica 1968” in ASCII code for electronic communication and spans multiple floors.

This installation was very complex given the size of glass, mounting system, and enclosure where we had to work. The stairwell was already in place when we had to install the large pieces. This meant that KGa had to work very closely with the steel subcontractor to ensure we maintained the tight standard of tolerance.

Overall, the visibility of this large, colorful piece helped bring Mathematica’s modern office together in a meaningful, stylish, and vibrant way. To learn more about the Mathematica office in DC, view their Mathematica Minute video on their website now.
