OK, this is a real hot button with us.
Glass is fragile, and heavy, and generally cannot be fixed if it’s damaged or the wrong size. And since glass is just about the last thing installed on a commercial interior project, scheduling and tracking is a bigger deal than you’d think.
Which makes it a priority for us.
We’ve invested in state-of-the-art tracking systems and can practically let you know when the truck makes its last left-turn on the way to the job site. And, because we manufacture most of what we install, knowing where it is and when it’s going to get here is pretty much of a snap.
We’ve learned lots of tricks for managing this, and we have all kinds of delivery vehicles and processes. From craning glass through windows, or riding on top of elevators to humping it up the stairs, getting it safely to where it needs to be is a key priority. Knowing where it is and when it’s going to get there is just the beginning.
