KGa Acquires New Sterling, VA Facility

Kensington Glass Arts, Inc. Acquires New Sterling, VA Manufacturing Facility

IJAMSVILLE, MD: Kensington Glass Arts, Inc. (KGa), an award-winning glass manufacturer, commercial glazier, and distributor of architectural glass, has opened an additional glass fabrication facility in Sterling, Virginia.

“This will give us the opportunity to easily leverage into the laminated and tempered laminated glass business. This also gives us additional tempering capabilities, and supports our overall business goals.”

The new Sterling facility will open for production in January of 2021 following the establishment of processes and procedures to ensure KGa’s outstanding quality and manufacturing standards. This 20,000 SF facility added to our current 30,000 SF will help KGa expand its tempered, laminated, and tempered laminated glass fabrication capabilities, as well as further support KGa’s move into Richmond, Tidewater, Shenandoah Valley, VA markets.

Ijamsville Expansion

In addition to the new facility, KGa is currently working to expand the Ijamsville, MD – HQ facility. This expansion will begin in 2021, with expected completion in early 2022. This expansion will triple the fabrication capacity of KGa’s current Ijamsville facility.
