From Quality Control Technician to Maintenance Supervisor
Antony Rosales’ Journey With KGa
In his 3 years with Kensington Glass Arts, newly promoted Maintenance Supervisor, Antony Rosales has proven himself an integral part of the Maintenance Team. Continue reading below for more about Antony’s career with KGa.
In the summer of 2016, Antony Rosales accepted a position with KGa as a Quality Control Technician. When asked why he chose a career in the skilled trades, Antony shares, “I chose to get into the trades because I had previously worked on construction sites and I was looking to gain more experience and knowledge in a skilled profession.” After spending some time on the Quality Control Team within the KGa Fabrication Department, Antony became a Maintenance Assistant. As a Maintenance Assistant, Antony was responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of the building as well as assisting in the maintenance of the machines utilized by the Fabrication department. Antony shares “learning maintenance opens doors for many opportunities,” and for him, it did just that because in the summer of 2019 he was promoted to the Maintenance Supervisor.
As the Maintenance Supervisor, Antony continues to be responsible for maintaining the building, equipment and supplies as well as ensuring all equipment is operable and meets safety requirements, however, now he is taking on a leadership role within the department. When asked what he loves about his role, Antony shares “I learn something new every day, there are always new obstacles that put my problem-solving skills and creativity to the test.” Although he enjoys his job, he states that the biggest challenge he faces is troubleshooting when there is a problem.
Aside from his duties as the Maintenance Supervisor Antony has also contributed his artistic abilities to the Marketing Department on occasion. You can see his fine camera work in the Virtual Shop Tour video as well as the drone image of the staff on the “People” page at www.kensingtonglass.com.
